Eco Construction and Maintenance Participates in Picnic for the Planet, an Earth Day Celebration

Lake Mary, Florida - Eco Construction and Maintenance Management, LLC, a best-in-class, environmentally friendly, total facilities maintenance management provider, hosted a Picnic for the Planet in celebration of Earth Day 2011. Picnic for the Planet is a celebration of the planet that we live on, the food it provides and the people that we share it with. In short, the Earth does a lot for us.
On Earth Day 2011 (April 22), people around the world stepped outside and headed to their favorite outdoor spot to enjoy good food in the company of great people. Eco Construction and Maintenance participated by sponsoring a picnic in the Lake Mary area. Eco also honored Earth Day by contributing 180 trees to The Plant a Billion Trees campaign. The Plant a Billion Trees campaign is an unprecedented major restoration initiative launched by The Nature Conservancy in 2008 to restore Brazil's Atlantic Forest. On the brink of extinction due to pressures of urban expansion, agriculture, ranching and illegal logging, much of what remains of the forest is found in isolated fragments, which are often too small to support a full array of its extraordinary biodiversity. Through Plant a Billion Trees, Eco will help to reforest 2.5 million acres and connect more than 12 million acres in the new forest corridors.
